Introduction to Principles of Accounting

Introduction to Principles of Accounting is a course designed to provide CSEC Principles of Accounting students with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and practices. This course covers the history of accounting, basic concepts of accounting, including bookkeeping and accounting, and various job opportunities. Learners will trace the development of accounting, state the difference between bookkeeping and accounting,  state the importance of bookkeeping and accounting, state the various job opportunities, describe the types of business units, state the accounting concepts, and briefly describe the accounting cycle.

By the end of this course, students will have a strong foundation in the basic accounting principles and be prepared to pursue the next step in their accounting journey.
